There was a season when I woke up in the middle of the night as the exact same hour. During that time, the Holy Spirit taught me how to love the Father more intimately, and how He wants to be worshiped. Many chapters in this book come from those times of midnight prayer.
During this season of prayer, I spent extended times practicing to simply wait on the Lord and hear His voice. My mind and thoughts were so busy and greatly distracted me from keeping my focus on the Lord and Him alone. I tried everything, but with little fruit. I then started to explore the influence of the various faculties of the body, soul and spirit. I am not saying the soul is evil, but it is fleshly, and all flesh must die.
For God’s purpose for our lives to be fully manifested, the soul must be fully subjected to the rulership of the Holy Spirit. There’s no shortcut or escape. Once I intentionally started to pray for the sanctification cleansing and purification of each faculty of my body and soul, I saw the positive effect it had on my prayer life. No new discipline is established easily. It takes time. it takes continuous practice and exercise to establish a new spiritual discipline.
This publication now includes more practical step-by-step ideas, from Scripture, how to engage the Presence of the precious Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus and our Heavenly Father. I can testify of the fruit of these practices in my own life, and I am still practicing and growing in all of them.
